FAQs
As a small practice, we may not always have someone available to answer the phone right away. However, we have tried to compile the most popular questions and post them here so you can get answers to some of your pressing questions. If your question is not listed here, send us a message via the Contact Us Page, and we'll get back with you shortly. You can also text us at 252-999-3477.
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
Simply click the "Request an Appointment" button at the top of the page to request a session with any of our clinicians. We'll follow up promptly to confirm your appointment.
What’s the Wait Time for an Appointment?
We understand that finding a therapist can sometimes feel overwhelming and that waitlists can be long. Our goal is to get you scheduled as soon as possible—sometimes even as early as the next business day. Once you submit an appointment request, our team will reach out with the soonest available options. We're also continually adding new therapists to reduce wait times.
Do You See Children?
We love working with children and recognize their importance as the next generation of leaders. Currently, we have limited availability for children’s appointments. However, we are actively seeking clinicians with specialized training in working with children.
Do You See Adolescents?
Yes, we offer counseling services for adolescents ages 13 and older.
What Kind of Counseling Do You Provide?
We provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, communication challenges, and more. Our goal is to walk alongside you, no matter what you're facing.
How Do I Complete the Paperwork?
Once your appointment is scheduled, we will send you a secure link to our Therapy Portal, where you can confidentially complete all required documents electronically through our HIPAA-compliant system. No printing or scanning needed—we make it easy and convenient.

What Can I Expect During the First Session?
From the moment you walk in (or log in), our clinicians will help you feel welcomed and at ease. We’ll start by going over some basic information and answering any initial questions you have. From there, your clinician will invite you to share what’s on your mind and explore your goals for therapy. Together, you will develop a personalized treatment plan with clear S.M.A.R.T. goals to keep the process focused and effective.

Your Rights When It Comes To Healthcare
You have the right to receive a good faith estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a good faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related cost like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a good faith estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, or any other provider you choose, for a good faith estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400.00 more than your good faith estimate you can dispute the bill. Make sure you save a copy or picture of your good faith estimate.
